Chesterton Steel Trap Metal-Graphite Gasket

The design of this metal gasket trap pure graphite against the flange face. As it is tightened, the stainless steel is progressively flattened, which in return traps the graphite and creates a sealing against the flanges. Inside the seal the graphite is protected against oxidizing atmosphere and corrosives.

The stainless gasket steel trap will easily pay for themselves over time due to reduced maintenance and downtime. With its self-locating design, it will allow the same size metal gasket to be used in a huge range of flange pressure classes.

With this stainless gasket steel trap you can reduce your inventory and drastically reduce the chance of incorrect selection of gaskets. You will also be able to tailor the design of this metal gasket to fit any desired flange face. One of the biggest features for this metal gasket is to be an ideal replacement for problem applications.

The metal gasket can handle temperature limits of 500°C (atmosphere), 650°C (steam), 900° (inert media)

and has a pressure limit of 6000 psi. It is extremely chemical resistant and will handle pH values between 0 - 14.
